May 5th marks the day that we remember Indigenous Women, Girls and Two Spirited people that have been stolen, are missing or have been murdered. What is the REDress Project? It is an art project that remembers the lost women and girls by hanging empty red dresses in many places. In 2010, Jaime Black began the REDress Project, and has collected many dresses over the years. Each hangs emptily to show the absence of the victims. At ESMS we are wearing red and a red dress hangs in our library to remember & mourn for these victims and show that they are cared for and they matter. Find these titles in our library...
